- Hearing Evaluations
The purpose of a complete diagnostic hearing assessment is to determine if a hearing problem exists. If it does, appropriate recommendations for medical referral, hearing aid use, assistive listening devices or other options will be discussed.
- Hearing Aids
Hearing aids come in many different sizes and technologies. Each persons requirements differ and hearing aids may be customized to your individualized needs. We carry a range of different manufacturers. Your audiologist will inform you of your options, and help you decide on what is most appropriate for you.
- Ear Molds: Swim molds & Custom-made noise protection earmolds
Any kind of noise exposure is potentially damaging to hearing, so whether your noise exposure comes from your work environment or just mowing your lawn, custom earmolds can provide protection from noise-induced hearing loss.
- Audiological Evaluations
Complete hearing testing for ages four to adult provided by a certified clinical audiologist. Evaluations include measures of hearing sensitivity for air and bone conducted sounds, measures of speech discrimination ability and, when necessary, assessment of the middle ear function (impedance audiometry), and special testing to determine the location of dysfunction.
- Balance testing
To determine the cause of a balance problem, you will first be asked to describe your problems and symptoms and will be given a physical examination. Based on your descriptions and exam results, your doctor will develop a working diagnosis. Depending on what he or she determines, your doctor may then order tests designed to confirm the diagnosis. The test results also determine how key components of your balance systems are functioning.
